MTV reported on an upcoming book from IDW.
Peter S. Beagle’s 1968 novel "The Last Unicorn" (which was later adapted into an animated film in 1982) will now be adapted into a six-issue comic book series from IDW Publishing.
The series will kick off in April 2010, and will be adapted from Beagle's novel by writer Peter B. Gillis — who also happens to be the writer behind one of our favorite series around Splash Page HQ, the early-'80s Marvel series "Strikeforce: Morituri" (recently mentioned in our "Scariest Comics We've ever Read" list). Art for the miniseries will be provided by Renae De Liz and her husband Ray Dillon.
The tale of a unicorn's quest to discover why she's the only one of her kind, the animated Rankin/Bass adaptation of "The Last Unicorn" was one of the staple fantasy films for children of the '80s. The film featured the voices of Christopher Lee, Angela Lansbury, Alan Arkin, Jeff Bridges, and Mia Farrow, among others.
“I’m delighted that IDW is doing this adaptation of my book,” says Beagle, “and by the real concern they’ve shown for the integrity of what I wrote. Peter Gillis is a wonderful choice as a scripter — I couldn’t have done a better job myself — and Renae and Ray have brought my characters to vivid life. Together with IDW, they are achieving something I honestly hadn’t believed possible.”

I've been waiting on this movie since the clips of the film came out of comic-con. big fan of the comic and from what i hear everything follows damn near to a tee. I try to support all comic movies and this is no question, I'm sure the movie will do just like its namesake.
WOW! I was getting annoyed when marvel released yet another teaser image for the upcoming story SIEGE but when I checked it out I think this may be my favorite one yet. Captain "Bucky" American has Iron "Green Goblin" Patriot on his knees ready to bust a cap in his @$$. From this teaser we get the feeling that Bucky gets his due by putting the smack down on Osborn.
New "SIEGE" Teaser image
Another "SIEGE" teaser image
On Friday Nov 6th marvel released two more teaser images from the upcoming storyline "SIEGE" beginning in december. The image shows a costume figure coming in to save the day and with the premise for SIEGE being Norman Osborn setting his sights on Asgard my guess would be Thor, not to mention he's one of the few heroes that wears a cape.

With Milestone being integrated into DCU proper they decide to bring the originators to give the characters a proper ending DC Source provided us with Dwayne Mcduffie's interpretation see below for he full story.
What is MILESTONE FOREVER, you ask? Well, we can take a guess, but why slow down the process? Since it’s part and parcel of what we do, being The Source and all, we talked to Milestone founder and MILESTONE FOREVER writer Dwayne McDuffie for the scoop on the new project, along with some essential back story to bring you newbies up to speed. Take it away, Dwayne:
16 years ago this month, industry giant DC Comics and upstart Milestone Media entered into an unprecedented creative partnership, producing 14 interlocking, creator-owned titles including Hardware, Icon, and the multimedia hit that would best be known as Static Shock. The story Milestone chose to tell was an audacious one, larger than life on its surface, character and story-driven at its base, Humanist and multicultural at its heart. For over 250 issues, fans explored a superhero universe like no other.
Today, nine Parents Choice awards, four Eisner Award nominations and one Emmy and Humanitas award-winning hit TV series later, Milestone is back, its continuity mysteriously merged with the DCU. While we saw the DC side of the story in “Justice League: When Worlds Collide,” Milestone Forever gathers the original artists from Milestone’s launch titles: John Paul Leon, Mark Bright, Chris Cross and Milestone Founder Denys Cowan, to complete the tales told in the original runs of STATIC SHOCK, ICON, HARDWARE, SHADOW CABINET and BLOOD SYNDICATE. Milestone Editor in Chief Dwayne McDuffie reveals the final fate of each of Milestone’s launch characters in a bittersweet tale that chronicles the literal end of a universe, and the birth of something new, with major consequences for the future of the DC Universe.

DC was kind enough to post a sneak peek at Philip Tan's cover to Outsiders #27. It seems some new villain's will be plaguing The Outsiders by the name of Dust Devil and Mudslide (isn't that a vacuum cleaner and a drink?) not mention a few unknown in the background but Philip Tan gets a kudos for the kick ass cover.
