Falcon profile, Super Hero Squad

Marvel released another Super Hero Squad video profile this time of Falcon. Its time to Hero Up!

The reason I have a PS3

The sole reason I bought a playstation 3 is because DC Universe Online is to be exclusive to it and now, once the game hits I have found my training partner. Nightwing has been announced officially check the press release below.

Official Press Release

What happens when Dick Grayson, The Boy Wonder, becomes a man and decides to leave his mentor to take on new adventures? He takes on the name Nightwing and joins forces with the Teen Titans against criminals of the night. Second only to those of Batman, Nightwing's fighting skills and detective abilities are a definite advantage for a hero who also has gas pellets, smoke capsules, and an acetylene torch.

Wearing a bulletproof and fire-resistant costume that is wired with a single-shot taser, Nightwing can easily incapacitate any attacker. His weapons of choice to combat foes, including the H.I.V.E. (Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination), are twin, shatterproof-polymer Escrima sticks. Keep in mind that you get to play alongside or against Nightwing in DC Universe™ Online, so choose your own armaments wisely.

and just to add a little side note I don't think it was a good idea to have Nightwing become the new Batman, it took him years to discover his own identity and get from under his mentors shadow and once he came into his own it was decided to make him Batman...bull$#!+

IDW turns The Last Unicorn into a six issue series.

MTV reported on an upcoming book from IDW.

Peter S. Beagle’s 1968 novel "The Last Unicorn" (which was later adapted into an animated film in 1982) will now be adapted into a six-issue comic book series from IDW Publishing.

The series will kick off in April 2010, and will be adapted from Beagle's novel by writer Peter B. Gillis — who also happens to be the writer behind one of our favorite series around Splash Page HQ, the early-'80s Marvel series "Strikeforce: Morituri" (recently mentioned in our "Scariest Comics We've ever Read" list). Art for the miniseries will be provided by Renae De Liz and her husband Ray Dillon.

The tale of a unicorn's quest to discover why she's the only one of her kind, the animated Rankin/Bass adaptation of "The Last Unicorn" was one of the staple fantasy films for children of the '80s. The film featured the voices of Christopher Lee, Angela Lansbury, Alan Arkin, Jeff Bridges, and Mia Farrow, among others.

“I’m delighted that IDW is doing this adaptation of my book,” says Beagle, “and by the real concern they’ve shown for the integrity of what I wrote. Peter Gillis is a wonderful choice as a scripter — I couldn’t have done a better job myself — and Renae and Ray have brought my characters to vivid life. Together with IDW, they are achieving something I honestly hadn’t believed possible.”

That's some Gorgeous Stuff

Seems the late great Michael Turner left a little something special for DC which they are dropping on the 50th issue of Supergirl. Mike Turner is at the top of my list when it comes to favorite artist and as you gander at this cover you know why. now what remains to be seen is will DC try to capitalize on his talent by making this a variant cover and trying to squeeze $100 bucks out of us.

WHAT! Why you coming in here with all that bull$#!+

Okay seriously WTF? with over 5000 or so characters in the repertoire and Marvel decides to come up with a new character a dual pistol wielding monkey drawn by Frank Cho. yeah it may be a baboon instead of a monkey and Marvel is trying to hype this up by getting superstar artist Frank Cho to draw this but are they really so far out of ideas that the next best thing is this? Marvel released the image Friday afternoon only asking the question "Who Is One Of The Most Exciting New Comic Characters of The Century?", promising an answer Monday afternoon on their website, presumably as part of a preview of their February 2010 solicitations.

"SIEGE" teaser image best one so far i think

WOW! I was getting annoyed when marvel released yet another teaser image for the upcoming story SIEGE but when I checked it out I think this may be my favorite one yet. Captain "Bucky" American has Iron "Green Goblin" Patriot on his knees ready to bust a cap in his @$$. From this teaser we get the feeling that Bucky gets his due by putting the smack down on Osborn.

New "SIEGE" Teaser image

Alright we gotta another SIEGE teaser image from marvel which shows the Dark Avengers going toe to toe with Thor and from the image they seem to be winning. Which I'm pretty sure should not be happening. I mean think about it The Dark Avengers get dismantled by the X-Men (read Utopia for full story) and can best Thor who is a "GOD" well, thoughts?

No matter how improbable this may Simone Bianchi still crafts a stunning cover.

~T-Juan Mobile

Another "SIEGE" teaser image

On Friday Nov 6th marvel released two more teaser images from the upcoming storyline "SIEGE" beginning in december. The image shows a Norman Osborn on his throne which seems to be a reused cover from Dark X-Men beginnings #3 that dropped Aug 26 2009. The tag for this teaser reads "Who is Normans secret weapon" and has monitor images of (from left to right) Odin, The Beyonder, Scarlet Witch, Diablo, Thanos, X-Man, and Mephisto make of it what you will. Both the cover to Dark X-Men beginnings #3 and The "Siege" teaser image are up for comparison.

More "SIEGE" Teaser images

On Friday Nov 6th marvel released two more teaser images from the upcoming storyline "SIEGE" beginning in december. The image shows a costume figure coming in to save the day and with the premise for SIEGE being Norman Osborn setting his sights on Asgard my guess would be Thor, not to mention he's one of the few heroes that wears a cape.

Milestone gets a proper ending.

With Milestone being integrated into DCU proper they decide to bring the originators to give the characters a proper ending DC Source provided us with Dwayne Mcduffie's interpretation see below for he full story.

What is MILESTONE FOREVER, you ask? Well, we can take a guess, but why slow down the process? Since it’s part and parcel of what we do, being The Source and all, we talked to Milestone founder and MILESTONE FOREVER writer Dwayne McDuffie for the scoop on the new project, along with some essential back story to bring you newbies up to speed. Take it away, Dwayne:

16 years ago this month, industry giant DC Comics and upstart Milestone Media entered into an unprecedented creative partnership, producing 14 interlocking, creator-owned titles including Hardware, Icon, and the multimedia hit that would best be known as Static Shock. The story Milestone chose to tell was an audacious one, larger than life on its surface, character and story-driven at its base, Humanist and multicultural at its heart. For over 250 issues, fans explored a superhero universe like no other.

Today, nine Parents Choice awards, four Eisner Award nominations and one Emmy and Humanitas award-winning hit TV series later, Milestone is back, its continuity mysteriously merged with the DCU. While we saw the DC side of the story in “Justice League: When Worlds Collide,” Milestone Forever gathers the original artists from Milestone’s launch titles: John Paul Leon, Mark Bright, Chris Cross and Milestone Founder Denys Cowan, to complete the tales told in the original runs of STATIC SHOCK, ICON, HARDWARE, SHADOW CABINET and BLOOD SYNDICATE. Milestone Editor in Chief Dwayne McDuffie reveals the final fate of each of Milestone’s launch characters in a bittersweet tale that chronicles the literal end of a universe, and the birth of something new, with major consequences for the future of the DC Universe.
