WOW! This really took me by surprise another one of my shames, that its taking me this long to find out what it is. I have seen the covers and briefly knew of this Scott Pilgrim but just now seeing the Trailer, I'm all in. And to add bonus its directed by Edgar Wright, the director of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead so this movie has just been bumped onto my list.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is an upcoming 2010 film based on the comic book series Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O'Malley. The film is directed by Edgar Wright and stars Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera), bass guitarist for the garage band Sex Bob-omb, has just met the girl of his dreams. However, he must defeat Ramona Flowers' (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) seven evil exes, who are coming to kill him.
Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It’s getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart’s *** — and now is back in town — to the teenage distraction he’s trying to shake when Ramona roller blades into his world, love hasn’t been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes control her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.
As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues’ gallery from her past, from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsomely identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.
Jerry Bruckheimer never seems to disappoint whether its through film or television, the movies he makes are fun and for the whole family so I don't think this one will be a let down.

I'm not the hugest Will Ferrell fan but this shows promise. MegaMind is an upcoming animated comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation. The film will be released on November 5, 2010. Tom McGrath will direct the film
When super villain MegaMind (Will Ferrell) defeats his archrival Metro Man (Brad Pitt), the world should be his oyster. But instead, MegaMind falls into total despair. It turns out that life without a rival is life without a purpose for him. So he creates a new superhero rival, Titan (Jonah Hill). Unfortunately for him and the world, the new hero wants to be a super villain too. The new villain begins his rampage, and MegaMind sets out to stop him, beginning a path to redemption in the process.
The film was first titled Master Mind and then Oobermind. Lara Breay and Denise Nolan Cascino will produce, and Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld will executive produce the film. Ben Stiller was originally cast as MegaMind, and later Robert Downey, Jr., but Will Ferrell was given the role, due to "scheduling conflicts" for Downey. Brad Pitt is cast as Metro Man, Jonah Hill as Titan, and Tina Fey as star reporter Roxanne Ritchi. The film is written by Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons.
Honestly, I'm thinking this should be a straight to DVD film. yeah the idea is awesome, even some of the costumes come close to the games. But lets be realistic for a minute here, how many movies based off of fighting games have done really well in the box office? How many movies based of of Video games period? huh?

Never thought of The Thing as an Avenger's guy, but he practically evented the team up by guest staring with many comic character in the marvel Universe.
The Thing (Benjamin Jacob "Ben" Grimm) is a fictional character, a founding member of the superhero team known as the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics universe. He was created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee in The Fantastic Four #1 (Nov. 1961). His trademark orange rocky appearance, sense of humor, blue eyes, and his famous battle cry, "It's clobberin' time!" makes him one of comics' most recognizable and popular characters. In addition to appearing in the Fantastic Four, the Thing has been the star of Marvel Two-in-One, Strange Tales (with his fellow Fantastic Four member the Human Torch), and two incarnations of his own eponymous series, not to mention many miniseries and one-shots. The Thing was named Empire's tenth (of fifty) greatest comic book characters.
As a result of a mutagenic effect due to exposure to cosmic radiation, the Thing possesses high levels of superhuman strength, stamina, and resistance to physical injury. His strength has continued to increase over the years due to a combination of further mutation and special exercise equipment designed for him by Reed Richards.
He is capable of surviving impacts of great strength and force without sustaining injury, as his body is covered with an orange, flexible, rock-like hide. He is also able to withstand gunfire from high caliber weapons as well as armor piercing rounds. It is possible to breach his exterior however, and he does bleed as a result. The Thing's highly advanced musculature generates fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity, granting him superhuman levels of stamina.
Aside from his physical attributes, the Thing's senses can withstand greater levels of sensory stimulation than an ordinary human, with the exception of his sense of touch. His lungs possess greater efficiency and volume than those of an ordinary human. As a result, the Thing is capable of holding his breath for much greater periods of time.
Okay wasn't into the whole Alias comic that Ms. Jones was introduced in. But when her and Mr. Cage became an item then she jumped up a few points in my book, and the fact that she's down for her man puts Ms. Jones over in the 80 percentile of bad ass female characters. When her and Luke became an item she was migrated into the New Avengers line and she's always been a supporting character for the team, so it was only a matter of time before she up the ante to active roster status.
Jessica Campbell Jones Cage is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe, created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Gaydos. Jones debuted in the series Alias as an embittered former superheroine who had used the aliases Jewel and Knightress. After hanging up her costume, she became the owner and sole employee of Alias Private Investigations.
Jessica Jones debuted in the Marvel MAX-imprint series Alias, (which bears no relation to the TV program of the same name). The character and series were created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Gaydos. Alias ran for 28 issues from 2002 to 2004, with most covers drawn by David W. Mack. Jones and other characters from the series moved to Bendis' subsequent series, The Pulse. Introduced in the Marvel Universe as a retcon character, Midtown High student Jessica Campbell was present when Peter Parker was bitten by the irradiated spider that gave him his powers. She had a crush on him, and had just plucked up the courage to speak to him when he was distracted by the bite. She also had a celebrity crush on teen heart-throb Johnny Storm. Soon thereafter, Jessica was riding in a car with her family when they collided with a military convoy carrying radioactive chemicals. Her family was killed and, after spending several months in a coma, she was placed in foster care and adopted by the Jones family. Months later she awoke, stirred by the first coming of Galactus outside her hospital room. Jessica later discovered that the radioactive materials she was exposed to in the accident had granted her super strength, limited invulnerability, and flight (which she never fully mastered during her superhero career). The Joneses re-enrolled Jessica at Midtown High, where she was ostracized by her classmates, especially Flash Thompson. Peter Parker (who had since become Spider-Man) sensed in Jessica a kindred spirit — someone who had also lost family due to a tragic circumstance. Jessica mistook his kind attention and lashed out at him, believing he was merely pitying her. At that time she found out she had superpowers.
As a result of the chemical spill, Jessica Jones possesses superhuman strength and resistance to injury and the ability to fly at sub-sonic speeds. The exact limits of her strength and durability have not been defined, but she was able to lift a two-ton police car with apparent ease. She was not able to fully withstand a Venom Blast from Jessica Drew, nor a severe beating by Iron Man and the Vision. Jessica was vulnerable to telepathic attack which led to her ordeal at the hands of the Purple Man until mental barriers were put in place by Jean Grey to grant her better resistance. In addition to her superhuman powers, Jessica is a skilled detective and investigative journalist.
Okay, I'm getting tired of seeing this guy and I'm not afraid to admit that at one point in time i was a fan of Wolverine but when marvel started to try and capitalize on him and placing him in every corner of their universe then i got a little tired of seeing him. Mr. Howlett here also joined the New Avengers back in 2005 of course he could be part of a team Dynamic he's practically part of every team in the Marvel Universe.
Wolverine is a fictional Canadian character who appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Born as James Howlett in the 1880s, and commonly known as Logan, Wolverine is a mutant, possessing animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, retracting bone claws, and a healing factor that allows him to quickly recover from virtually any wound, disease or toxin. The healing factor also slows down his aging process, enabling him to live beyond a normal human lifespan. This healing ability enabled the supersoldier program Weapon X to bond the near indestructible metal alloy adamantium to his skeleton and claws without killing him. He is most often depicted as a member of the X-Men.
Wolverine first appeared in the final "teaser" panel of The Incredible Hulk #180 (cover date Oct. 1974) written by Len Wein and penciled by Herb Trimpe. The character then appeared in a number of advertisements in various Marvel Comics publications in early July (cover date November) before making his first major appearance in Hulk #181 (cover date November 1974) again by Wein and Trimpe. John Romita, Sr. designed Wolverine's yellow-and-blue costume. The character's introduction was ambiguous, revealing little beyond his being a superhuman agent of the Canadian government. In these appearances, he does not retract his claws, although Len Wein stated they had always been envisaged as retractable. He appears briefly in the finale to this story in Hulk #182.
Wolverine is a mutant with a number of both natural and artificial improvements to his physiology. His primary mutant power is an accelerated healing process, typically referred to as his mutant healing factor, that regenerates damaged or destroyed tissues of his body far beyond the capabilities of an ordinary human. This power facilitated the artificial improvements he was subjected to under the Weapon X program, in which his skeleton was reinforced with the indestructible metal adamantium.
Wolverine's mutation also consists of animal-like adaptations of his body, including pronounced canines and three retractable claws housed within each forearm. While originally depicted as bionic implants created by the Weapon X program, the claws are later revealed to be a natural part of his body. The claws are not made of keratin, as claws tend to be in the animal kingdom, but extremely dense bone, and can cut substances as durable as most metals, wood, and some varieties of stone. They can also be used to block attacks or projectiles, as well as dig into surfaces allowing Wolverine to climb structures. Wolverine's hands do not have openings for the claws to move through: they cut through his flesh every time he extrudes them, with occasional references implying that he feels a moment of intense pain each and every time he does so.
Spider-Man was on the original New Avengers when it started back in 2005 and they proved that Spidey can be part of a team Dynamic. The original play between the webslinger and my main man with unbreakable skin was well written and classic.
Spider-Man is a fictional Marvel Comics superhero. The character was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko. He first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 (Aug. 1962). Lee and Ditko conceived of the character as an orphan being raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, and as an ordinary teenager, having to deal with the normal struggles of youth in addition to those of a costumed crime fighter. Spider-Man's creators gave him super strength and agility, the ability to cling to most surfaces, shoot spider-webs using devices of his own invention which he called "web-shooters," and react to danger quickly with his "spider-sense", enabling him to combat his foes.
bite from a radioactive spider on a school field trip causes a variety of changes in the body of Peter Parker and gives him superpowers. In the original Lee-Ditko stories, Spider-Man has the ability to cling to walls, superhuman strength, a sixth sense ("spider-sense") that alerts him to danger, perfect balance and equilibrium, as well as superhuman speed and agility. Some of his comic series have him shooting webs from his wrists. Brilliant, Parker excels in applied science, chemistry and physics. The character was originally conceived by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko as intellectually gifted, but not a genius. However, later writers have depicted the character as a genius. With his talents, he sews his own costume to conceal his identity, and constructs many devices that complement his powers, most notably mechanical web-shooters. (This mechanism ejects an advanced adhesive, releasing web-fluid in a variety of configurations, including a single rope-like strand to swing from, a net to bind enemies, a single strand for yanking opponents into objects, strands for whipping foreign objects at enemies, and a simple glob to foul machinery or blind an opponent. He can also weave the web material into simple forms like a shield, a spherical protection or hemispherical barrier, a club, or a hang-glider wing.) Other equipment include spider-tracers (spider-shaped adhesive homing beacons keyed to his own spider-sense), a light beacon which can either be used as a flashlight or project a "Spider-Signal" design, and a specially modified camera that can take pictures automatically.
You gotta admit, It does just fit in there quite nice now the only thing missing is William Hung to lay his lyricist skills on the track. Anyway marvel released this teaser image that doesn't really say much, especially when you take into account the images they've been releasing over the last few weeks involving "The Second Coming"
Second Coming will be the final part of a trilogy of stories that began with Messiah Complex and continued in Messiah War. Intended as a conclusion to Cable's efforts to save Hope from Bishop, who has hunted the so called Mutant Messiah since her birth; the series also builds on the Utopia, Nation X and Necrosha storylines of 2009 in the X-Men books. The story centers on the return of Cable and Hope Summers to the present day and Bastion's final campaign to destroy the X-Men.
The X-Men are a superhero team in the Marvel Comics Universe. They were created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, and first appeared in The X-Men #1 (September 1963). Under a cloud of increasing anti-mutant sentiment, Professor Xavier created a haven at his Westchester mansion to train young mutants to use their powers for the benefit of humanity, and to prove mutants can be heroes. Xavier recruited Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast and Jean Grey, calling them "X-Men" because they possess special powers due to their possession of the "X-Gene", a gene normal humans lack but which gives Mutants their abilities. Early on, however, the "X" in X-Men stood for "extra" power which normal humans lacked. It was alluded to that the mutations were incurred as a result of radiation exposure. All five original X-Men, including Professor Xavier were stated to be the children of parents who worked on atomic weapons for the United States military.
Early issues introduced the team's arch enemy, Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants, who would continue to battle the X-Men for decades throughout the comic's history. The X-Men comics have been adapted into other media, including animated television series, video games, and a successful series of films.
I'm a huge fan of Luke Cage going way back to the Power Man and Iron fist days. I got be honest I was to happy when the announcement came out that he would be leading the Thunderbolts...okay I was down right pissed, but with Luke being listed as the first reveal of the New Avengers written by Brian Micheal Bendis and art duties by Stuart Immonen i couldn't be more thrilled. Keep reading for some good old Luke Cage info.
Luke Cage, born Carl Lucas and also called Power Man, is a fictional superhero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Archie Goodwin and artist John Romita, Sr., he first appeared in Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #1 (June 1972). He obtained his powers in a terrible accident leaving him with near impervious skin and vast superhuman strength.
Luke Cage possesses superhuman strength and stamina, and has extremely dense skin and muscle tissue which render him highly resistant to physical injury. Cage possesses these abilities as a result of his participation in dangerous, and highly controversial, experiments while in prison. The cellular regeneration experiment has fortified the various tissues of Cage's body, granting him a high degree of resistance to injury via skin that is as strong as titanium and can resist high caliber bullets, puncture wounds, corrosives, and extreme temperatures and pressures without sustaining damage (It has been noted that he has skin as "hard as steel", but when he went up against an adversary that was going to shoot him with bullets that "can pierce steel", he relates that the "steel" hardness of his skin is just a saying and its much tougher than that). Despite this, it is still possible to cause him injury. For example, it is possible to injure him with adamantium weapons. However, it has been shown that the supernatural fangs of a vampire are not able to pierce his skin.
A second exposure to said experiments further enhanced his strength and durability to current levels. He is described as being significantly stronger than his first enhancement. The same experiment which granted him his great strength and durability has also given him a faster than normal recovery time from injury. Cage's recovery time from physical trauma is significantly greater than that of a normal human. A major drawback, however, to his superhuman durability is that when he does sustain serious injury beyond his ability to heal on his own, medical care is difficult, given doctors' inability to get past his hardened skin, as in the Secret War limited series. Luke Cage is an exceptional street fighter and was a gifted athlete before receiving superhuman abilities. He has also studied martial arts under Iron Fist's instruction, learning how to couple leverage with his strength in order to increase his combat effectiveness against opponents more powerful than he is.
He owns a jacket that is as durable as his skin-having been exposed to the "Power Man" treatment during Cage's second exposure.
