Combat & Gameplay Details

-There are special moves that can hit up to three enemies at once

- Batman will have new air attacks, one of them involves Bats hanging by a cord and jumping over the enemies and disarming them. You can return to the starting point of the jump or carry on with the fight. There is also a diving Swivel which hits two enemies to once.

- Batman now has special combat moves (or terminators), one of them is called "Fallen," a combination of quick punches with a vertical kick that launches the enemy into the air allowing Bats for a second aerial shot. Also there will be others attacks where Batman combines combos and equipment to take out foes.

- Batman will be able to climb all objects, climbing on buildings, including wires (Batman will be able to balance on them) something similar to what was seen in the Assassins Creed II, you will be able to slide underneath objects, cling to poles, rods or perform gymnastic maneuvers and also slide down ramps to grab an enemy. You are also able to get a flying start by leaping through windows.

- Batman now has a feature where he can dodge projectiles shot from firearms, it can also be used for normal attacks.

- Batman will be able to grab enemies mid flight.

- When Batman is soaring, if you go toward a window he performs a motion diving with his feet to smash the window and execute a surprise attack

-Batman can now run and use gadgets at the same time, you can also run, jump and hit at the same time. Batarangs can be thrown even when Batman jumps into the air.

Gadgets

- New gadget that upgrades Batmans "leap" (Translation is confusing but it seems to suggest some sort of cape upgrade that expands into wings, can also "attack enemies")

Along with Glau, the all-star cast features returning Superman and Batman actors Tim Daly and Kevin Conroy, respectively, as well as Ed Asner ("Up") as Granny Goodness.

"Superman/Batman: Apocalypse" is produced by Bruce Timm and directed by Lauren Montgomery ("Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths") from a script by Tab Murphy ("Gorillas in the Mist").

Superman/Batman: Apocalypse Clip

Warner Home Video has provided SuperHeroHype with a new clip from Superman/Batman: Apocalypse along with four more images from the film, coming to Blu-ray and DVD on September 28. The clip depicts the harried first few minutes of time on Earth for Kara, a Kryptonian cousin of Superman who has not yet understood or harnessed her powers.

Based on the DC Comics series/graphic novel "Superman/Batman: Supergirl" by Jeph Loeb, Michael Turner & Peter Steigerwald, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is produced by animation legend Bruce Timm and directed by Lauren Montgomery (Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths) from a script by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Tab Murphy (Gorillas in the Mist).

In Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, a spaceship splashes down in Gotham City Harbor -- leading Batman and Superman to encounter a mysterious Kryptonian with powers as great as those of the Man of Steel. The Kryptonian is soon revealed to be Kara, cousin of Superman, who takes her under his wing to educate her about the ways of Earth. However, the villainous Darkseid has other plans. Seeing an opportunity to finally defeat Superman, Darkseid abducts and gains control of Kara, utilizing the powerful Kryptonian to do his bidding. It’s up to Batman and Superman to save Kara, but they’ll have to take the fight to Darkseid within his hostile world – where unknown, deadly threats lurk around every corner, including a brainwashed Kryptonian able to match Superman blow-for-blow.

Tim Daly and Kevin Conroy return to their seminal roles as Superman and Batman, respectively. The guest cast is headed by Andre Braugher as the daunting Darkseid. Summer Glau provides the voice of Supergirl, and Ed Asner reprises his "Superman: The Animated Series"/"Justice League" role as Granny Goodness.

Cover Art to next DC animated revealed, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse

Superman Homepage has learned that Warner Premiere's next DC Universe animated title Superman/Batman: Apocalypse will hit Blu-ray and DVD on September 28. The movie is based on the second story arc, "The Supergirl from Krypton," from Jeph Loeb and Michael Turner's the "Superman/Batman." So there is no question about whether to pick this up or not. Even though its Superman and Batman taking center stage again and I feel they may be heading towards overkill utilizing only mass marketed characters, but its based off of the story arc drawn by the late great Michael Turner. The third short film, featuring Green Arrow, is included with the upcoming Superman/Batman: Apocalypse with Neal McDonough as the voice of Green Arrow/Oliver Queen. Here is the cover artwork:

Already know I will be picking this up even though the clip doesn't do it for me. Maybe you'll like it more than I will

Batman: Under the Red Hood tips the next DC animated film

DC has been killing it with their DC Universe Original Animated Movies like Green Lantern: First Flight and Wonder Woman, so we've got high hopes for Batman: Under The Red Hood, which is based on a series of comics written by Judd Winick back in 2005 that brought back formerly dead Robin Jason Todd as an imbalanced anti-hero with his sites set on Gotham's criminal underground. Box art for Batman: Under the Red Hood has revealed DC Entertainment's next full-length animated movie which will, again, showcase Batman and Superman.

The film, which comes out on DVD and Blu-ray on July 27th will have a slew of extras including a short film focusing the spotlight on scarred cowboy Jonah Hex, with the special edition DVD boasting a history of Robin and the Blu-ray looking at how Todd got the axe thanks to fans back in the '80s. The film itself will star Batman (Bruce Greenwood), Nightwing (Neil Patrick Harris), Red Hood (Jensen Ackles), The Joker (John DiMaggio) and even Ra's al Ghul (Jason Isaacs) and Black Mask (Wade Willams). It'll be interesting to see how a straight-up adaptation of a somewhat controversial Batman story will go!

Several eagle-eyed comic fans have spotted the title of DC's next animated film on the back cover of the Amazon.com Exclusive Blu-Ray edition of Batman: Under the Red Hood.

"First Look: Superman/Batman: Apocalypse - Exclusive Sneak Peak at DC Universe's Next Original Animated Movie"

Recent internet chatter revolves around the assumption the title itself may hint at the debut of either Darkseid or Supergirl. There is no official word from Warner Bros. entertainment which comics story line the movie will follow, if any. This will be the fourth animated film highlighting a Superman and Batman team-up. Speculation as to this latest film's plot will be put to rest come July 27th, 2010, when Batman: Under the Red Hood becomes available for purchase.

DC Entertainment has two animated short films already planned, Jonah Hex and Green Arrow, which will accompany their full length features. There is also a rumored Batman: Year One adaptation in the works.

Batman: Under the Red Hood trailer

MSN has debuted the trailer for Batman: Under the Red Hood, featuring the voices of Bruce Greenwood, Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Isaacs and Jensen Ackles. In the new home video release, coming July 27, the Dark Knight finds himself being stalked by a mysterious criminal who seems to know all of his secrets.

DC has been on a roll with all of the animated features that they have released, no reason to believe this one wont be a hit as well.

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earth's clip

We picked up a clip from DC animated film Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. lot of characters will be in this feature as well as some evil counter parts, It will be just fun trying to figure who is the evil doppelganger for who. The movie is due out February 23rd 2010 check out some info after the jump.

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths is an original direct-to-video animated film set to be released on February 23, 2010. It is based on the abandoned direct to video feature, Justice League: Worlds Collide (originally titled Justice League: Fearful Symmetry), which was intended as a bridge between the then-concluding Justice League series and its then forthcoming sequel series Justice League Unlimited. The movie project was shelved because of insufficient staff to produce the movie and the TV show simultaneously. Crisis on Two Earths was reworked from the Worlds Collide script to remove references to the TV series' continuity.

The premise of "Crisis on Two Earths" is borrowed from the 1964 Gardner Fox-scripted Justice League of America #29-30 as well as the 1999 Grant Morrison JLA: Earth 2 graphic novel, with a heroic Lex Luthor from an alternate universe coming to the Justice League's universe for help against the Crime Syndicate, but it is not an adaptation of that story. The film is the seventh in the line of the DC Universe Original Animated Movies line released by Warner Premiere and Warner Bros. Animation. The film is not a DCAU production in any way, nor is it connected in any way to the previously released Justice League animated film; Justice League: The New Frontier.
