To tie in with the big-screen Thor hitting on May 6th, Marvel Animation has announced an animated film coming directly to DVD and Blu-ray on May 17th. IGN has the details and a first look at the set's cover art, pictured below.
First previewed over a year ago, Tales of Asgard will tell the story of Thor's earliest years and his first adventure with his brother, Loki and the Warriors Three.
Special features on the set will include two audio commentaries (one with Supervising Producer Craig Kyle and Screenwriter Greg Johnson, and a second with Supervising Director Gary Hartle, Animation Director Sam Liu and Character Designer Phil Bourassa), a featurette entitled "Worthy: The Making of Thor: Tales of Asgard" and an episode of "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes."

Studios will reveal new footage from a lot of their upcoming titles on Sunday, February 6, before, during and after Super Bowl XLV on FOX. Each 30-second spot is costing the studios about $3 million, though last year a record 106 million viewers tuned in, guaranteeing that a massive amount of eyes will see the spots. It looks like Warner Bros. Pictures and 20th Century Fox may be sitting it out again, though one would think that Fox is still considering airing the first X-Men: First Class footage during the game.

Arriving from Sega to coincide with the release of May's Thor, the video game adaptation features the God of Thunder doing battle across the Nine Realms, based on look of the film and Chris Hemsworth's portrayal of Thor.

Disney XD has released its rollout plans for The Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes!, the new animated series from Marvel Animation.
The series will premire on Disney XD on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
Beginning Wednesday, Disney XD, DisneyXD.com/Avengers, Marvel.com, MarvelKids.com and Disney XD Mobile will roll out 20 micro-episodes introducing the team's core members. Each five-and-half-minute episode focuses on the back story, allies and nemeses of the heroes before the Avengers were formed.

"Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man and Wasp have defeated some of the most dangerous Super Villains on the planet. Earth's Mightiest Heroes must now band together as the Avengers to protect the planet from the threats that no single Super Hero could face alone. Their first task is to try and stop Graviton, a being whose power dwarfs anything ever seen. He's after Nick Fury, but will destroy the world to get to him. WOW! I truly hope that this trailer did not show all of the best parts of the movie, I had my reserves about the Thor movie, but this trailer kinda ease my fears. take a look for your self and let me know what you think.
Marvel gives us another teaser image adding the God of Thunder to the Avengers roster. Now you got Thor rounding out your holy trinity of Avengers to also include Cap, and Iron Man. It really was no surprise considering that Siege is supposed to be returned of The Avengers to the Heroic Age.

Star Trek 2
Fans can expect the follow-up to "Star Trek" to arrive in the next two years. According to Box Office Mojo, Paramount Pictures has set June 29, 2012 as the day when this untitled Star Trek sequel hits theaters across the U.S.
Wolverine 2
Hugh Jackman is going to put on his sharp claws next year, when "Wolverine 2" kicks off its production. The news was broken by the actor himself when he was met at the backstage of the 36th Annual People's Choice Awardsafter receiving Favorite Action Star prize.
Spider-Man 4
Tobey Maguire has stated that Spider-Man 4 will start "sometime next year" (2011) in an interview on the January 8, 2009 edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The tentative release date for the film is May 6, 2011.
Thor
With production of "Spider-Man 4" delayed, Paramount and Marvel Entertainment have pushed up the release of "Thor" by two weeks to May 6, 2011. Thor" was set to have opened May 20, 2011. No sooner did Paramount make its move than did Disney grab the May 20 slot for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." The fourth installment in the "Pirates" franchise did not previously have a release date.
Green Lantern
Several sources are reporting that the "GreenLantern" movie has been officially greenlighted based off a post by visual effects supervisor Karen Goulekas.Martin Campbell will direct Green Lantern, which stars Ryan Reynolds and is scheduled for release on June 17, 2011.

Ace showbiz let us know that In the middle of January, the cast members and crew for 'Thor' will start the principal photography in Los Angeles before they move to Santa Fe in New Mexico.
After the president of production forMarvel Studio, Kevin Feige, claimed "Thor" will start filming in early 2010, Production Weekly has obtained new details about the production schedule of the movie. On Friday, November 13, the site reported that the filmmakers have chosen some places as the shooting location.
Beginning in the middle of January next year, the principal photography reportedly will take place in Los Angeles. Later, in March, the crew and the cast members for the superhero movie will move to Santa Fe in New Mexico to continue the shooting until late April.
"Thor" is an epic adventure that spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. It will revolve around Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. As the punishment, he is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans. Alright we gotta another SIEGE teaser image from marvel which shows the Dark Avengers going toe to toe with Thor and from the image they seem to be winning. Which I'm pretty sure should not be happening. I mean think about it The Dark Avengers get dismantled by the X-Men (read Utopia for full story) and can best Thor who is a "GOD" well, thoughts?
