Iron Man is a pretty good fit for anime, if you think about it: a brilliant, arrogant playboy billionaire who dons a mechanical suit often to fight other mechanical suited menaces in explosive mechanical battles over glittering cityscapes. Madhouse's "Iron Man" anime is heading to G4 in 2011, but it launches this month in Japan, and the Japanese opening sequence has hit the net, showcasing the show's blend of traditional and CGI animation styles and its distinctly anime twist on the Tony Stark you know and love/hate. Here are four more micro episodes highlighting the new Avengers cartoon. The latest animated series based on Marvel Comics superheroes finally has a start date. "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" will premiere October 20 on Disney XD, with the full two-part episode available on digital platforms iTunes, Xbox Live, Sony Playstation and Disney XD Mobile VOD the next day. Disney XD has released its rollout plans for The Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes!, the new animated series from Marvel Animation.
The series will premire on Disney XD on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
Beginning Wednesday, Disney XD, DisneyXD.com/Avengers, Marvel.com, MarvelKids.com and Disney XD Mobile will roll out 20 micro-episodes introducing the team's core members. Each five-and-half-minute episode focuses on the back story, allies and nemeses of the heroes before the Avengers were formed.

Here's how Disney XD's describes "Breakout," the two-part series premiere:
"Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man and Wasp have defeated some of the most dangerous Super Villains on the planet. But when the Super Villain prison system mysteriously shuts down, chaos is unleashed on the world. Earth's Mightiest Heroes must now band together as the Avengers to protect the planet from the threats that no single Super Hero could face alone. Their first task is to try and stop Graviton, a being whose power dwarfs anything ever seen. He's after Nick Fury, but will destroy the world to get to him. Individually the heroes have no chance, but together they can make a difference."

Wednesday, September 22: Disney XD will air a sneak peek of the first micro-series episode, "Iron Man is Born!," at 8:30 p.m., ET/PT directly following premiere of the network's newest series, Pair of Kings.
DisneyXD.com/Avengers, Marvel.com, MarvelKids.com and Disney XD Mobile will unveil a new micro-episode every day, for 20 days, leading up to the micro-episodes' premiere on Disney XD. DisneyXD.com/Avengers will also feature a gallery of each of the Avengers and offer inside information about Kang, Loki and the rest of the "most wanted" Marvel super villains.
Tuesday, Oct. 5: Select micro-episodes will be made available as a free preview on iTunes.
Monday, Oct. 11: Disney XD will roll out all 20 micro-episodes during "Avengers Week" from Monday, October 11 to Friday, October 15, with four micro-episodes stacked each night at 8:30 p.m., ET/PT. The complete micro-series becomes available on Disney XD on Demand on AT&T, Verizon, Charter and Cox.

Collider is reporting that Four brand new Iron Man, Blade, Wolverine, and X-Men series will all appear on the G4 TV network in the U.S. in 2011, according to a press release they received.
According to information Collider gathered that Warren Ellis wrote 12 different 30-minute episodes based off of various storylines already in existence that were intended for the south east Asian market. According to Ellis, "will either be dubbed or subtitled." They are being made by Madhouse in Japan, and it will be in anime style.
Ellis seems to be happy that they are going to see release here in the U.S.
"As I say, these were commissioned and created specifically for the south east Asian market. But it’s nice that they’ll get some form of English-language airing too."
"Because I knew the process in advance, the outlines were really just plot, pacing and colour. I imagine and expect that I’ve been seriously rewritten in places by the actual writers, which is fine and all part of the process."

“X-MEN” The X-MEN are reunited following the death of a teammate, and are summoned by Charles Xavier to Japan following the abduction of Hisako Ichiki (Armor). There, they confront the U-MEN, a lunatic cult that steals and transplants mutant organs to further strengthen their own army, and the battle for justice is on.
“Wolverine” Based on the popular graphic novel by Frank Miller, the series begins in Japan, where Logan is challenged by Shingen Yashida, the notorious leader of a powerful mafia clan. When Shingen’s employee Yukio, a female assassin, falls out of Shingen’s favor, she must kill him or be killed. Teaming up with Logan, the pair seek out the villain to exact their revenge.
“Blade” Eric Brooks — known as Blade — seeks revenge on Deacon Frost, the vampire lord who killed his mother while she was still pregnant with Eric. With all the powers of a vampire and none of their weaknesses, Blade’s quest leads him throughout Southeast Asia in search of Frost, and, in Viet Nam, he discovers a vampire plot that threatens to take down the whole world.

The first episode of MADHOUSE's Iron Man anime series will have its world premiere at Comic-Con International, which will run in San Diego from July 22 to July 25. The Animax anime television channel has also announced that the anime will then hold its television premiere on Animax in Japan on Friday, October 1 at 10:00 p.m. Marvel Entertainment had previously stated that the 12-episode series would premiere during the second quarter (April-June) of the year. Marvel Anime: Iron Man and Marvel Anime: Wolverine were slated to air in the United States next year.
Marvel Entertainment had revealed in August of 2008 that it was working with MADHOUSE on four series with Marvel's stable of comic book characters. (The other two projects will center on Blade and X-Men.) Masao Maruyama, the co-founder of MADHOUSE, offered a video preview of its Iron Man and Wolverine work at Comic-Con International last July.
Packed with favorites from the movie and comic book worlds, Iron Man 2: The Video Game offers gamers a chance to choose between Iron Man and War Machine, as they battle through hugely destructible indoor and outdoor environments. Tony and Rhodey both come equipped with their own distinct assortments of fully customisable, earth-shattering weapons, as well as vicious melee combat moves, all of which will come in handy against the likes of Crimson Dynamo and other classic Marvel foes.

SSEEEEGA!!!!!! all i have to say is that i hope this second installment of the iron man video game is better than the first, yeah the graphics looked good but the gameplay was ridiculously awful to follow a major block buster movie. The multi-platform title is slated to come out in 2010 along with the Marvel Studios film of the same name, a sequel to the 2008 box office triumph distributed by Paramount Pictures.

From the looks of this somebody has a hard on for Tony Stark. this isn't anything we haven't seen before just in movie poster style. I have heard a lot of complaints regarding Mickey Rourke costume wise as Whiplash but with this being the characters debut it makes since to me that he wouldn't come out fully armored up and it can't be as bad as the Blacklash from the Iron Man animated series on the 1994 Marvel Action hour. So give a go and if its anything like the first movie I think we will be pleasantly surprised.

I know quite a few people who think as long as Joe Quesada is Editor in Chief at Marvel comics then he will continue to mess it up for everybody, i myself have wondered a few times how did some ideas made it to print (identity disc, hitman monkey) but one thing about Joe Q is that he slings a mean pencil check it out below.
