Final Fantasy XIII international trailer

Last Final Fantasy I played was seven, and man did I have to invest some time into that. But this trailer is outstanding, its truthfully a work of art on its own. If its any indication of the visuals from the game alone then I'm strongly reconsidering my opinion of not picking this up. Take a look for yourself

Spider-Man Getting a Reboot

'Spider-Man 4' Scrapped, Studio Plans 2012 Reboot Sony says it will start franchise over in 2012 with new director and cast Peter Parker is headed back to the big screen in 2012, but he'll be without "Spider-Man" franchise director Sam Raimi or star Tobey Maguire when he swings back into action. The demise of "Spider-Man 4" was first reported by

Deadline Hollywood on Monday (January 11), with the site claiming Raimi had left the project and the studio had decided to reboot the franchise entirely rather than replace him. According to the report, Raimi's departure was the result of studio pressure to meet the film's summer 2012 release date despite a variety of much-publicized script issues. The site also claimed that Tobey Maguire and the rest of the cast will not return for future films, and the studio will look to reboot the franchise entirely with a script by James Vanderbilt.

Sony later confirmed the report to MTV News, but indicated that a new "Spider-Man" movie is still planned for summer 2012."Peter Parker is going back to high school when the next 'Spider-Man' hits theaters in the summer of 2012," the company said in a statement, adding that the planned film will focus on "a teenager grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises.

"Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, said in the statement, "A decade ago we set out on this journey with Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire and together we made three Spider-Man films that set a new bar for the genre. When we began, no one ever imagined that we would make history at the box-office and now we have a rare opportunity to make history once again with this franchise. Peter Parker as an ordinary young adult grappling with extraordinary powers has always been the foundation that has made this character so timeless and compelling for generations of fans. We're very excited about the creative possibilities that come from returning to Peter's roots and we look forward to working once again with Marvel Studios, Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin on this new beginning.

"Earlier reports had pegged the choice of villain as one of the primary obstacles to "Spider-Man 4" production, with Raimi and the studio differing over potential casting that, most recently, included John Malkovich as winged villain the Vulture.

Earlier Monday, a report surfaced that Malkovich had confirmed his involvement in the film now leaving many questions regarding his attachment to a new film.

With production deadlines looming for a 2012 premiere, the studio has promised more updates regarding Spider-Man's next big-screen adventure in the near future.

Green Lantern female lead

Looks like Warner Bros. and director Martin Campbell have finally found the female lead for their Green Lantern movie, and Hal Jordan's lady love Carol Ferris will be played by none other than Blake Lively, star of the CW's hit "Gossip Girl,"The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and its sequel.

Ferris is the one who hires hot-shot test pilot Hal Jordan, played by Ryan Reynolds, to her father's aerospace company, which she's running, before he gets the ring to become Earth's Green Lantern. As the Heat Vision Blog mentions, Carol ultimately becomes the villain Star Sapphire, although there's no word whether there might be some hint of that in the first movie.

Rumors had been swirling for the past month about a possible lead with Keri Russell and Jennifer Garner among those being talked to for the role. The movie is scheduled to start shooting in March.

Black Widow ongoing series

Natasha Romanoff has been many things over her decades-long career: Soviet super spy, crime-fighting super hero and even a top ranking agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. However, this April, the sexy spider weaves her web in brand new territory when she stars in her very own self-titled ongoing series written by Marjorie Liu.

"I'm intrigued that she has no powers beyond her own natural, human abilities and yet, she manages to hold her own against immensely powerful individuals, who are intimated by her, and who respect her," says Liu of her series' star. "She's incredibly confident, totally in control-ruthless, pragmatic, fiercely intelligent. And she can kill you with her pinky. What's not to like?

"Liu plans on immediately putting Natasha's countless skills to the test beginning with the very first issue, which sets the dark and gritty tone of the series. However, no matter how long and dangerous the road, Liu says Natasha always treks it through to the end due to her unbeatable will and relentless attitude.

"The measure of a dangerous character isn't the strength of the body but the mind," says the writer. "And she's one of the most dangerous women in the world.

"Artist Daniel Acuna, who previously wowed with his work on ETERNALS and X-MEN: LEGACY, brings his uniquely beautiful visual style to the book. Liu describes Acuna's work as irresistible, rich and sleek, and cites the cover to issue #1 as a perfect example as to what makes him ideal for the title. That same cover also features the Widow alongside bothTony Stark and Wolverine, which Liu says gives only a small hint to the variety of characters that will be appearing throughout the series. But as with any great spy thriller, no one will be exactly as they seem.

"Natasha has a rich and varied history within the Marvel Universe, and an interesting life can make for interesting problems," Liu promises.

However, Liu does acknowledge that Natasha as the star of the title and doesn't want that point sidelined by focusing on too many guest appearances.

"I want to establish Black Widow as her own character, not as someone's girlfriend or the member of a team," she says. "Which isn't to say that Black Widow's relationships won't be explored, but she's a cunning, ruthless woman whose physical prowess would be nothing without her staggering intelligence. She's a force to be reckoned with, in every possible way.

"The Widow's busy lifestyle parallel's Liu's own packed schedule for 2010. This year sees not only the release of a video game adaptation by PassionFruit games to her first novel "Tiger Eye," but also the third book in the Hunter Kiss series, "A Wild Light," and the eleventh book in her Dirk & Steele line, "The Stars Below." Liu also lends her skill to two anthologies: "With Great Power"-featuring stories by fellow comic writers like Paul Cornell, Mike Carey and Bill Willingham-and "Songs of Love and Death," with Neil Gaiman, Peter S. Beagle and many others.

Her ability to juggle so many projects and ease at writing one of the Marvel Universe's deadliest super spies brings into question just how much Liu has in common with her comic book counterpart. Confronted with the possibility of actually being the real life Black Widow, Liu chooses to play it close to the vest:

"I wouldn't be much of a secret agent if I told, would I?"

New Suit of Armor

Marvel is proud to unveil a new look for Iron Man, signaling a new era for Tony Stark and the Marvel Universe! From the minds of Eisner Award-winning series writer Matt Fraction and Ryan Meinerding, designer on the "Iron Man" and "Thor" films, comes the most bleeding edge, out of this world armor you've ever seen! Following the sold-out "Stark Disassembled" storyline, the Marvel Universe still needs its armored champion and a new mission requires a new kind of armor! But when you see just what Iron Man has planned for the Marvel Universe, your jaw will be on the floor! There's never been a super hero like the new Iron Man!

"The inspiration for the new design came from thinking about a sleeker, leaner, tougher Iron Man," revealed Fraction. "If technology is increasingly getting smaller and lighter it seems like the Iron Man should do the same: ergonomic and aerodynamic. We were looking for something that felt as sleek and glossy as a sports car Tony Stark would covet. I love what we've come up with. It feels like the next evolutionary step in the Iron Man's design.

"A bold new direction for Iron Man starts here with the perfect jumping on point for readers old and new alike, as the all-new Iron Man makes his debut in INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #25, on-sale this April!
